STOVE & OVEN PROBLEMS

DOESN’T IGNITE

For an electric stove doesn’t turn on, ensure the stove power cord is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are on. You should check the pilot light on gas appliances. If the oven power cord is plugged in and the pilot light is burning, it means another part will have to be replaced. The cause of the problem might be an infinite switch, surface element, igniter or bake and broil element.

BURNER DOESN’T HEAT

A burner or stove or oven that doesn’t heat doesn’t do much good. Your oven won’t heat if there’s a broken oven sensor or bake element. A burner won’t heat if an element breaks or if the burner switch or terminal block don’t work. We are able to troubleshoot and repair these problems in less than 1-2 hours after our arrival.

PROGRAM ISSUES

You can assume the control board on an oven is broken when the program or timer functions are not working. In this case, we know how to replace control boards on GE, LG, Sears, KitchenAid, Kenmore and most other brands of stoves, ovens and ranges. We provide a warranty on all of the control boards and manufacturer replacement parts we need for this oven repair service.

OVEN IS TOO HOT

You always need a hot oven. But not too hot! When the oven heat is too hot, it might be due to a broken thermostat or sensor. Our appliance repairmen are able to diagnose the reason for the issue and repair it. Always be careful if troubleshooting this problem for fear of skin burns from the very high and unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER WILL NOT LIGHT

A common stove problem is times where an igniter will glow but it doesn’t light. The reason this occurs is sometimes from a broken electronic control, surface igniter, safety valve or temperature sensor. We will determine if we can fix these parts or if we need to replace the part.

DOOR DOES NOT OPEN

New self-cleaning types of ovens can have door issues often. The door won’t open after the oven is done cleaning itself. We monitor the door latch, thermostat and seal to find out why the door will not open up and then complete the repair in order to resolve the problem.
